Next Playboy Will Feature Hope Dworaczyk in 3D

Apparently, Hugh Hephner invented 3D or something.  According to MSNBC, when Heff launched Playboy back in the 50's, he hired a photographer to shoot two girls nude in 3D. But the price of packaging the 3D glasses with the magazine was too high. This week, Hef's dream becomes a reality.

In an effort to bolster low readership, the June 2010 edition of Playboy, ON SALE HERE, will feature centerfold Hope Dworaczyk in good old fashioned blue and red glasses 3D.

This is Playboy's big plan? Not good. The magazine has seen circulation plummet from 3.5 million to 1.5 million in less than five years.  The Playboy Mansion had to be sold off.  It's not hard to see why.

Thanks a lot for the ancient 3D technology, Heff.  But gfest will pass.  We'll just look at her picture above instead.

Smokin Hot Supermodel Brookyln Decker - Just Because Gfest Loves You!

One of Gfest's favorite websites is WWTD (What Would Would Tyler Durden Do?)  and since its "Hump day" we thought we would share some pictures of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model and actress Brooklyn Decker in a tiny yellow bikini.  Enjoy the pictures of the Hawaiian beach and ocean and if you get chance check out Brooklyn. For more pictures head over to WWTDD.

New Futurama Picture - Countdown to Season Premier Day 3

Gfest cannot express in words how much we LOVE Bender Bending Rodriguez.  We can't wait to see Bender and his shiny metal ass in all the brand new episodes of Futurama next month.  Thank God for these daily storyboards that help feed the need of Gfest's Futurama addiction.

Disco dancing is arduous, back-breaking work. Nobody wants to do it, but it has to get done lest the wheels of society come screeching to a halt. Well, from the looks of this still from the first new Futurama episode, someday we'll be able to rely on machines to do our disco dancing, leaving humans to pursue more fulfilling endeavors like working in factories.

Brand New Cover Art for Batman Beyond #2

Gfest loves Batman Beyond.  Cranky old Bruce Wayne (Not Dick (head) Grayson), Terry McGinnis, Ace the dog, bitchy Barbara Gordon, a-hole Derrick Powers, etc.  Great Cartoon and short lived comic series.  Gfest praises the comic gods (not Dan Didio) for bringing this story back to us.

Here is the beautiful cover to Issue #2 done by the ever talented Dustin Nguyen.  And because Gfest loves you here is the synopsis to the issue as well.
A mysterious new threat targets the original Batman’s villains, and only Terry McGinnis – the Batman of the future – has a chance of finding and stopping him. But of a Catwoman stalks into the picture, Terry is torn between the lady she appears to be and the deadly tiger she might turn out to be!

New Rasl #8 Cover Revealed

Gfest is a HUGE fan of Jeff Smith because of his epic story entitled Bone, Gfets picked up the first volume of Rasl.  We waited for the first trade knowing that the single issues were coming out on an irregular basis.  While it takes a little bit of commitment to become engaged in the plot and begin to understand the premise, we found by the end of Volume one, we were extremely excited and pick up Volume two and fell head over heels for this story.

Jeff Smith's website Boneville just released the cover art for Rasl #8 and it's delicate mixture of beauty and creepy.  It's got Gfest excited for the next issue. Enjoy this beautiful cover of one of the most disturbing looking little girls in comics.

New Super Mario Galaxy 2 Ad Knocks it Out of the Galaxy

This new commercial for SUPER MARIO GALAXY 2 is fantastic.  It's a nice blend between real people (almost viewing the galaxy in a DisneyWorld like park) and gameplay views, which are fantastic.

Can't wait for this game to be released on May 23.

Will Tim Drake Eventually Become DC Comics Top Superhero?

Gfest is a HUGE fan of Tim Drake.  If you are as well, then prepare yourself for a geekgasm.  Eric Dietel at the DC Comics Fan Blog has written a beautiful recap of Tim's career, with some bold predictions for his future.  It begins here, and its well worth the read for both Tim Drake fans and fans of the DC Comics Universe overall:

Tim Drake is a remarkable character. If he continues to grow and develop like he has since his introduction he will eventually become the most influential character in all of DC Comics. I am fully aware of the magnitude of that statement and I will try to support it.

Beginning

Tim Drake didn't show up in a typical superhero fashion. He suffered no early tragedy, he didn't possess any powers. He was simply a smart kid who loved Batman and Robin. In a lot of ways he's like many comic book readers out there. However he wasn't without special attributes, Tim Drake was then and is still today one of the smartest characters of all. As a young boy he did what no one else could do - uncover the identities of Batman and Robin, Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson respectively. He also purported the theory that Batman NEEDS a Robin to balance the darkness with light. A theory that goes a long way towards making the concept of Robin a lot less stupid than it might have originally been viewed.

Cover for Grant Morrison's Joe the Barbarian #8 Revealed

The team of Grant Morrison and artist Sean Murphy are quickly approaching the end of their 8 issue adventure mini-series JOE THE BARBARIAN.

Vertigo Comics has released the cover to the final issue, and its a beauty.

14 Year Old Boy Gets Nintendo Wii, Marijuana and Lots of Sex from Teacher.

Kristen Sullivan is an innovator.  The 25 year old teacher from Florida is charged with two counts of sexual battery and one count of lewd and lascivious battery, according to local police.

Kristen is accused of having sex with the boy more than 100 times.  That's an impressive amount for one of these student teacher sex scandals, but Kristen didn't stop there.

In addition to sex, Kristen also:

  • Repeatedly gave the boy marijuana
  • Changed his grades for him
  • Told the boy she might be pregnant
  • Gave him a Nintendo Wii and videogames
  • Gave him a cell phone, Air Jordan Sneakers and a gold chain.

  • Last had sex with him in the back of her car, parked in front of the boy's home

I mean Kristen knows how to do a scandal.  If you're going to throw away your career and spend some time in jail, I guess she figured that you might as well go all out.

1941 Capt. America Jack Kirby & Joe Simon Page for Sale

Our friends at bleedingcool, found a very cool ebay auction - an original page of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby-credited Captain America art, from issue 6, dated from 1941. The beautiful page has Cap and Bucky fighting some seriously dodgy racial caricatures to boot.

Apparently, the page previously sold for $38,000 but the bidder didn’t complete the sale.  Wife, mother or girlfriend must have put the kibosh on the sale after realizing it was a $38,000 purchase. Poor bastard!

If you want to purchase your friends at Gfest an early birthday present, here’s your chance to show us some love.  Click here it's only going for a mere $7,100 right now.  Pocket change for you followers of Gfest.

LEGO to Release Set of 16 Special Minifigures

Your friends at Gfest know that in the world of toys, Lego reigns supreme. In the world of Legos, minifigures are at the top of the food chain.  Whether it's your Star Wars figures, Batman Figures or pirate figures, these little toys will fetch top dollar on the open market.

So what does Lego do to us? They release a new exclusive collection of LEGO Minifigures.  It's a collection of 16 collectible figures not found in normal sets, sold in "mystery bags" so each purchase is a surprise. Highlights include the Zombie, Caveman, Ninja, Robot, Scary Clown, and a Nacho Libre to name a few..

George Lucas Announces Next Star Wars Project - A-TEAM Crossover

You probably know by now that your friends at Gfest, like the rest of the world, have been seriously dissapointed by George Lucas as of late.  The king of sci-fi has just been mailing it in for at least the last decade.

So while the thought of a Star Wars and A Team crossover may have onced seem like a horrible suggestion, we now live in a world where Jar Jar Binks exists.  In that spirit, this trailer now seems awesome.

British Teen Changes Name to Captain Fantastic

A 19-year-old kid in England has officially changed his name to "Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined."

The British teenager -- originally named George Garratt -- said his new name, which is thought to be the world's longest, has so outraged his grandmother that she is no longer speaking to him, The Telegraph reported.

The teen said he used an online service to officially change his name for a mere $20 fee.

The teenager formerly known as George said he wanted a superhero themed name.  Hopefully he did a Google search beforehand, because most references to Captain Fantastic relate to Gay Idol Elton John.

But Is He the Fastest Man Alive in Bed?

This is a funny cartoon of the Flash getting some real superhero action.  I wonder which Flash that is though?  Gfest's guess is that its Barry Allen.  The old man is probably just excited to be back from the dead and having sex again.

Gfest was going to guess Jay Garrick, but we assume that Jay practices safe sex and always wears a helmet in bed.

Season Finale of LOST Leaked Online!

Gfest loves LOST.  We've been watching since the very beginning trying to figure this show out.  We worship at the temple of EW's Doc Jensen every week.  Yet, we feel the dissapointment coming.  This isn't going to end well. You know it too.

So, bitch all you want, but I for one appreciate the honesty of this leaked LOST season finale.

Frank Quitely’s cover to BATMAN AND ROBIN #13

DC Comics just released the Cover to Batman and Robin #13 over at The Source.  The cover done by Frank Quitely features the Joker who was the big surprise reveal in Issue #12.

Official Description of the Issue - In "Batman Must Die!" part 2 of 3, one of our heroes lies near death! Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne enter the ultimate, blood-soaked battle against two foes who almost destroyed the original Batman. Are the new Dynamic Duo up to this final confrontation with absolute evil? If they can't truly bond as a team, they're dead!

New Wii Controller is Link's Wet Dream

Gfest idol, IGN broke the news that the sweet controller you see here is set to release from component company Hori and is specifically designed for Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road Victory, an updated Wii port of arcade card battle game Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road.   The controller mimics the look of the arcade version, right down to the button sizes. The sword can be pushed down to perform your special sword attacks.  Doing the hand jive baby!

This special controller is used with the game's "Classic Controller" option, so unfortunately will will not be pulling the sword out and slashing away like you're playing the Legend of Zelda (BUMMER).

Another kick in the nuts, it's not available in the USA.  Importers can look forward to this special controller opposite Battle Road Victory this Summer. It will run you about $150, plus a Japanese pen pal.

New Futurama Picture - Mouth to Ass Storyboard

I don't care who you are, getting to take a peek around at storyboards is always cool in the world of gfest.  These storyboards come from Futurama's sixth season premiere, "Rebirth," and we're told the scene is called "Mouth to Ass."

The one-hour season premiere of Futurama airs Thursday, June 24 at 10pm / 9c.

Grant Morrison Does Batman Literally

Bleeding Cool brings Gfest this disturbing image of Grant Morrison in very strange underwear with a freakin huge scar. It's very, very disturbing.

For those of you who think crossing the fourth wall in comics is fun for writers, I think the belly scar is clear proof that it isn't.  At least I assume that's how he got that god awful thing.

Your friends at Gfest assumes Morrison is attempting to replicate Bruce Wayne in the Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne #1, which coincidentally hits shelves tomorrow (May 12).

Let's hope the writing is better than the live model shot.

DC Animated Sadly Cancels Numerous BruceTimm Projects

As reported earlier this month by your friends at Gfest, numerous DC Animated Projects have been canceled due to the under-performance of Green Lantern: First Flight and the Wonder Woman movie.

What Gfest did not know is the severity of the animated cancellations. Wonder Woman's performance was so underwhelming, in fact, that DC Animated has sworn off doing any superheroine features for the foreseeable future. They were actually planning to do an adaptation of Batgirl: Year One, but that project’s been canceled, now.

Another project that’s been canceled is the adaptation of the"Judas Contract" storyline from Teen Titans.  Bruce Timm also stated in his interview with comicvine that the announced Aquaman feature has also been canceled.
