Woody Found a Way to Spend His Toy Story 3 Money

Its a classic Hollywood tale.  A star makes it big, gets their first big Hollywood paycheck, and makes an irrational purchase that they will at some point regret.  Woody from Pixar's Toy Story is no different.

Is it strange that I'm slightly turned on by this picture?

Scott Pilgrim Named One of Summer's Biggest Losers

The fine folks at Film.com have released their list of the summer movie season's biggest winners and losers. it should come as no big surprise that animated movies were named the summer's biggest winners.  The success of the latest Shrek movie, Despicable Me and Toy Story 3 is hard to argue with.

Sadly, Michael Cera was named one of the summer's biggest losers, based on his performance in Scott Pilgrim vs the World, and the movie's overall lack of success.  Here is what they had to say:

Michael Cera

As Scott Pilgrim vs. the World continues to stink up the box office, poor Michael Cera has (unfairly or not) been handed much of the blame. The anti-Cera craze online reminds me of the anti-Shia movement years ago. I never understood the anti-Shia thing and I don't really get the anti-Cera thing either. But the Internet hath spoken. Don't worry, Michael, this too shall pass. Oh, and I loved Scott Pilgrim, buddy.

Gfest has always been a fan of Michael Cera.  We think he's a genuinely funny guy, but we're starting to think that he may not be that great of an actor.  He does seem to play the exact same character in every movie.  Is that Hollywood's fault for always casting him in those roles, or Cera's fault for not being able to convince the audience that his rolls are different?

I'm not smart enough to know if Michael Cera is to blame, but I know that I didn't buy into him as Scott Pilgrim.  The movie was fantastic.  The rest of the cast was fantastic.  But I wasn't able to get past the fact that I was watching Michael Cera in the movie and not Scott Pilgrim.

So maybe gfest is on the anti-Cera bandwagon.  But we still love him!

Toy Story & Jonah Hex Mashup = Woody Hex

Kenny Keil created this wonderfully funny Toy Story and Jonah Hex mashup entitled, "Woody Hex."  Lot-so Huggin Bear would be in for an ass kickin if he messed with Woody Hex. We could use a Barbie and Megan Fox prostitute mashup too.

Sheriff Woody's New Ride Makes Bullseye & Bo Peep Jealous

Poor Boo Peep, she must have been cast to the curb when Jessie came around.  What about poor Bullseye?  Woody doesn't need to ride him anymore.  Nope, he's got the rootinest tootinest cowgirl this side of Andy's closet to ride, and he looks like he is enjoying the ride.

Why Andy Won't Play With Buzz & Woody Anymore

We all knew the time would come when Andy would pay more attention to the numerous adult oriented websites than his beloved toys.  Who doesn't like to "roll the dice?"   Although, poor Rex may need some help with those short little arms.

Thanks to Curt Franklin and Chris Haley at Let's Be Friends Again for this very funny comic.

New Toy Story 3 Trailer Released by Disney Pixar

The creators of the beloved "Toy Story" films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of our favorite gang of toy characters in "Toy Story 3." As Andy prepares to depart for college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future. Directed by Lee Unkrich (co-director of "Toy Story 2" and "Finding Nemo"), "Toy Story 3" is a comical new adventure in Disney Digital 3D that lands the toys in a room full of untamed tots who can't wait to get their sticky little fingers on these "new" toys. It's pandemonium as they try to stay together, ensuring "no toy gets left behind." Meanwhile, Barbie comes face to plastic face with Ken

Toy Story 3 is all the Buzz and Woody

Gfest will say it.  We will say it loud and proud! We are big fans of the Toy Story franchise.  Despite what anyone says (young or old) everyone loves Buzz,Woody, Potato Head, Slinky Dog and the rest of the gang.

The original Toy Story revolutionized movies as we know them today.  All do to the genius of John Lasseter, founder of Pixar.

So we here at Gfest cannot wait for "Toy Story 3" to arrive in theaters on June 18.  If for some reason you're still not convinced about "Toy Story 3", just click here to watch the trailer.  If you don't laugh, the evil Emperor Zurg is your master.
