Comedy Central's Tosh.0 on Why Soccer is Stupid

Gfest loves the Tosh.0 show.  It's one of the funniest and most relaxing 30 minutes on television.  Earlier this week, Tosh.0 did a very accurate portrayal of how most Americans really feel about soccer.  Watch the video below.  It's damn funny!

Family Guy's Peter Griffin at the World Cup

Let's be honest, none of us ever thought of Peter Griffin as an athlete.  Having said that, when it comes to milking an injury, nobody in the world is better than Family Guy's Peter Griffin.  In a sport where faking injuries is a valuable part of the game's strategy, its not hard to see how a World Cup team would call upon Peter to be on their team.

Word is this match included 2 hours of injury time at the end of the game to accomodate how long it took to get Peter off the field after this injury.

What Happens When World Cup and Manga Combine

I just have no clue what the hell this is.  Gfest is not immune to the ways of World Cup soccer, but seriously, what in the world would possess someone to wear this.  Did we miss some sort of soccer manga character?

Katy Perry is a Sexy U.S. Traitor

Saturday, during the America vs. England World Cup Match, Katy Perry went to dinner in London wearing this tight, rubber dress that was composed of equal parts of the American and British Flags.

You 're Not British Bitch!

You cheer for the country that buys your shitty music and puts up with your stupid PR crap.  And, the only country dumb enough to do that is AMERICA!

Batman Taking Month Off to Watch World Cup

Even Batman needs a little time off, and with the World Cup back again, don't expect to see Batman around Gotham for the next month.  Commissioner Gordon and the Gotham City's Finest will have to step up their game for a while.

French Prostitute Threatens French World Cup Team

Zahia Dehar, now 18, claimed in an interview Thursday that she had paid sex with several French World Cup national team players, but claimed that none of her customers knew she was under 18 at the time.

She claimed she had paid sex with football stars Franck Ribery, Karim Benzema, and Sidney Govou.

The players could face up to three years in prison and a $60,000 fine if found guilty. Prostitution is legal in France, but prostitutes must be over 18 years old, and the men are liable if they are not.

EA Sports - 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer Is Beautiful

While I must admit loyal fans of Gfest, that this part of your dynamic duo is hardly a fan of soccer (the other part is a different story).  But, I do admit that the World Cup is an extremely exciting event that gets the old "Stars and Stripes" blood pumping.

If you're a soccer fan or just a fan of video games, than you have most likely played EA’s FIFA series.  For you junkies, EA released a little bit of crack cocaine to get you your World Cup fix.  Coming this week you can play, 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.  It provides an immersive and addicting experience where gamers can take any of the tournaments 199 teams all the way from qualification to the title match.

I think Nate Ahearn at IGN summed up the feel of this game perfectly, "I know, it sounds unlikely considering I live in California and all, but given the celebratory sequence I was just treated to in 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, I really can't imagine winning the real thing feels much better."
