INCEPTION Prequel Comic “The Cobol Job” Online

Warner Bros. has released a prequel comic for Christopher Nolan’s Inception.

Matt Goldberg over at Collider had this to say,
"The prequel comic is quite good and I thought the interface for reading it was terrific (you can also download it as a PDF).  You should not read it until you see the movie.  Aside from somewhat spoiling yourself, the comic won’t make a lot of sense until you’ve seen the flick. Inception presents a complicated world that Nolan sets up cleanly and efficiently, but there are rules and roles you need to know that this comic doesn’t present.  However, once you’ve seen the movie, I highly recommend checking it out “The Cobol Job” by clicking over to Yahoo! Movies."
Inception hits theaters on July 16th.  Look for my review Thursday night.

Planet of the Apes Prequel Opens in 2011

Fox is confirming rumors of a Planet of the Apes prequel film, tentatively titled Rise of the Apes, and has set a June 24, 2011, release date.

Here's what Variety reported:
"Rise of the Apes" is an origins story set in present-day San Francisco. The film is a reality-based cautionary tale, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. WETA will render, for the first time ever in the film series, photo-realistic apes rather than costumed actors."
Gfest loves all the Planet of the Apes movies, old and new.  We are excited to see the prequel and view CGI apes.  And, as long as they are going CGI route an Ape Batman may be something to consider or at least a Detective Chimp. "Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!"

Ridley Scott Alien Prequel Movie = Awesome

Director Ridley Scott—who's prepping a prequel to his seminal 1979 sci-fi movie Alien—is now saying that the movie will indeed deal with the identity of the "space jockey" discovered by the crew of the Nostromo on LV-426 in the original movie.
