Ten Brand New Batman Arkham City Screenshots

It's Christmas in Gotham!  Warner Brothers has released new screenshots, and a sweet profile of Harley Quinn from Batman: Arkham City, coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PCs in 2011.

Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham City will take place within Arkham City, the new maximum security "home" for Batman's rouges gallery.  This highly anticipated sequel to what many consider the best comic book based video game ever developed, includes a new all-star cast of heroes and villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features.

Based on these screen shots alone, we can't wait.

First look at Batman: Arkham City’s Catwoman, Two-Face and Harley & More (20+ Pictures)

Joystiq has stumbled upon what appear to be 20 new, and pretty stunning, screenshots from Batman: Arkham City, the much-anticipated sequel to the bestselling 2009 video game Batman: Arkham Asylum. These images don’t come from an official source — they apparently were posted on an anonymous Flickr account — but they certainly look legitimate. And if they’re not the real deal, someone sure went to a lot of effort to craft a convincing hoax. Joystiq even theorizes the screenshots could be an intentional leak from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Developed by Rocksteady Studios, the game will send players into Arkham City, the new maximum-security home for all of Gotham’s “thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.” Arkham City “introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.”

Batman versus Lesbians

Batman and Lesbians: two great tastes that taste great together.  Artist TheoDR should be commended for this masterpiece, especially that one panel where Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy kiss.

Comic Artist Oliver Nome's - Baby Girl Superheroes

Oliver Nome is an in house artist for Wildstorm/DC Comics in La Jolla, California. He works directly with an amazing group of artists including Jim Lee.  He also paints and designs clothes on the side.

Oliver produced these wonderful pictures for Phoenix Comicon.  He says, "I started to do these 'Baby/Chibi' drawings for fun and cause the show draws in a lot of manga fans, so I wanted to do something for the girls to enjoy...(and buy;)  Anyhoo, hope you like"

Gfest likes them very much Oliver.   To see all Oliver's fantastic art head over to his deviantART page.

Preview: Joker's Asylum: Harley Quinn #1

Top creators lend their talents to a new installment of The Joker's Asylum – a special month-long, weekly series of one-shots starring the greatest villains in Batman's rogues gallery.

Each issue is narrated by The Joker and tells a special stand-alone story that gives readers an inside look into the insane lives of The Dark Knight's greatest adversaries! This batch of tense tales spotlights The Riddler, Harley Quinn, Mad Hatter, Clayface and Killer Croc! Can you stand the madness?!

Typically, Gfest is skeptical of these type of single issue books because they're normally not very good, but we love Harley Quinn so we're crossing our fingers.

Here is a special sneak peak of Joker's Asylum: Harley Quinn #1 courtesy of CBR.  Click Read More to see all six pages of the preview.

Unique and Stunning Comic Book Art and Illustrations

The only thing Gfest loves better than cool comic book inspired t-shirts is unique and beautiful comic art.

Gfest was fortunate to come across the website of Christopher Uminga an artist from New Haven, CT.  His unique style of art puts a twist on various comic book heroes we have known throughout our lifetime.  These paintings are simply superb.

As an avid collector of comic art, Gfest can honestly say, we have nothing like it in our collection.  Gfest will definitely change this error very soon.

Head on over to Christopher Uminga site or his deviantArt page to view and purchase this extraordinarily original art.  To see more of Christopher's incredible paintings click o read more.

Joker Side-Kick - Harley Quinn Never Looked So Good

Comic artist Oliver Nome drew this beautiful sketch of Harley Quinn.  The picture becomes even more impressive when you read his statemnt about the drawing on gelatometti blog.
"Hey ya'lls, here's a piece I did of 'Harley Quinn' for fun and practice. She's such a wacky and twisted character and is always a joy to draw.
I used Prismacolor cool grayscale markers for the graytones and a little bit of warm grays for her face and some red for the lips and eyes for that extra 'POP".
Anyhoo, hope you likes;)"
Gfest loves it Oliver!

Is Harley Quinn Seeking Physcological Help From The Internet?

The Internet is full of weird websites and weirder people.  The latest entry?  IsItNormal.Com, where you can anonymously find out how others feel about your embarrassing or socially unacceptable situation.

Gfest has been pouring over some of the questions, and we think we found an entry from Harley Quinn.  Does anyone know how to alert Batman?  Also, I'd hate to be one of those 10 people who commented, because odds are that the Joker won't find them funny.
