I always liked Picasso's art. Each and every-time I view it, I can't help but think to myself, even I could paint a picture that looks like that. Everything out of place, with multiple features and bright colors.
Now thanks to Mike and Matt over at Etsy, I now have a new found respect for Picasso and the cubist movement. These superheroes postcards re-imagined as Picasso paintings are absolutely fabulous.
Mike and Matt are selling their bizarre superhero reinterpretations as prints and postcards over at Etsy, so once you check out our favorites below, head there and buy something to encourage them to keep pumping out these modern classics.

Is This the World's Greatest Superhero Cake?
I understand that there is an entire subset of our culture that's really into fancy cakes. I confess that I don't really understand that culture, but I've seen the TV shows dedicated exclusively to extreme cake design as I flip around the channels on my TV.
Maybe I should give them a second chance, because this cake is the coolest thing I've ever seen. And how cool for Aquaman that he somehow made the cut.

The Avengers Discuss Their New Health Care Plan [NSFW Video]
First it was the Tea Party, Sarah Palin and Republicans members of Congress and now it's the Avengers - government run health care (or Obama Care as it is known in some circles) touches everyone, even earth's mightiest superheroes.
You will laugh through "Avengers Assemble! Episode 1: Healthcare," in which a group of cosplaying comedians imagine how Earth's Mightiest Heroes might respond to today's hot-button issue.
The sketch sees Tony Stark addressing the team's new health plan, with each Avenger inadvertently revealing their health care needs as they inquire about how reform impacts their lives. Scarlet Witch is worried about her artificial domestic partner and imaginary children, Hawkeye's worried about STD's and unwanted pregnancies, Thor feels marginalized as a god from another realm and Wolverine is just happy to be Canadian.

Sinestro Brand Moustache Wax and Other Superhero Endorsements
After years of ridicule, is Booster Gold's dream of being able to become a superhero millionaire simply by accepting endorsement deals now a reality? Well no, but imagine if it was.
Superheroes reach celebrity status. They endorse products we all know. And Booster Gold looks like a pioneer. I don't even have a moustache, and I already want to buy some of the Sinestro Brand Stache Wax.

Superhero Retirement Home
So Clark Kent wears both the glasses and the costume in his old age. It's sad to see Superman go crazy.

Stanley Tucci Joins Captain America Movie as Dr. Abraham Erskine
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that beloved character actor Stanley Tucci has been cast in the new Captain America movie as Dr. Abraham Erskine, the scientist whose top secret serum turns a scrawny zero into an all-American hero.
Of course, you probably shouldn’t get too excited about Tucci’s involvement, since in pretty much every telling of the Captain America origin story, Erskine gets assassinated almost immediately after giving Cap the super soldier treatment.
However, its hard to argue that they are putting together a very talented cast for this movie.

Captain America Movie Poster Revealed
According to JoBlo the first teaser poster for Captain America: The First Avenger has been revealed. Is it the actually poster for the movie? We will have to wait and see.
Regardless, Gfest thinks it is a well designed poster and we especially like the chinks in the shield.

What Captain America Does on His Days Off
Now Gfest knows why Captain Americas was so damn easy to kill. Drunk and smoking in a back alley makes an easy target.
Although, the Captain America movie just got a little more interesting. Where's the bitches!
Enjoy this funny pciture of Captain America by artist Anthony Lister.

1941 Capt. America Jack Kirby & Joe Simon Page for Sale
Our friends at bleedingcool, found a very cool ebay auction - an original page of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby-credited Captain America art, from issue 6, dated from 1941. The beautiful page has Cap and Bucky fighting some seriously dodgy racial caricatures to boot.
Apparently, the page previously sold for $38,000 but the bidder didn’t complete the sale. Wife, mother or girlfriend must have put the kibosh on the sale after realizing it was a $38,000 purchase. Poor bastard!
If you want to purchase your friends at Gfest an early birthday present, here’s your chance to show us some love. Click here it's only going for a mere $7,100 right now. Pocket change for you followers of Gfest.

Captain America Has Never Looked so Good
As you probably know by now if you're a loyal member of our family, the crew at Gfest loves comic book art. From the greatness of Jim Lee, Alex Ross, Gary Frank, Bruce Timm, Jack Kirby, George Perez, Ethan Van Sciver, etc., we love to marvel at the pencils, ink, and colors of each and every page of our books.
Recently, we stumbled upon the simplistic yet stunning comic art of Rogan Josh. It blew us away.
Gfest couldn't agree more. Check it out here it's worth the click.
