NEW DC Comics Superhero Trucker Hats!

Superherostuff (my favorite spot for all my geeky t-shirts, hats, etc.) just started selling Batman, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern trucker hats.
Made from 55% Cotton and 45% Polyester, this One Size Fits Most baseball cap features a screen printed image underneath a raised, embroidered Superman shield symbol with a purposely distressed bill. Oh, and check out the red mesh rounding out the back of the hat! COOL! Not sure what's going on here, though. Superman may have had another, "accident." One where an entire city just sort of.......sinks. Anyway, this cool as beans Superman cap also features a plastic snap-band for closure! NEATO!
Head over to Superherostuff and take a look at all their hats as well as all the other cool superhero items for sale.  If you hurry, you might even be able to find a simple but cool Halloween costume.

Things I want to Wear But Can't - Nike Superman, Flash & Green Lantern Hightops

I know these are a little too bright, too Fitzgerald, too nerdy, too elementary, too Shaq, too geeky, just plain too much BUT I love them!

Here are the second in Nike's Zoom Huarache Trainer Superhero limited edition series -- which were designed exclusively for the NFL superstar receiver Larry Fitzgerald -- are due to hit specialty shoe stores this week, and feature a color scheme based on the Man of Steel himself. They follow last month's Flash inspired shoes, and precede next month's Green Lantern kicks -- which are easily the coolest looking of the bunch.

The shoes are going for $115 each and should be hitting your local hipster sneaker store today. If you've got hands of Larry Fitzgerald and the balls of Ray Lewis, these shows are for you.

Cast of Seinfeld as DC Superheroes

David Watcher put two of my favorite things together Seinfeld and DC Comics.  Prior to his fantastic artwork, I would have never thought it possible that the two would meet.  I love George Constanza as Batman wearing his glasses. Just classic!  Head over to David's site to see some more beautiful, creative and unique artwork.

McDonalds Releases New Masturbating Batman Toy in Happy Meals

Every guy in the world ends up playing with his little buddy every now and again.  But what about the superheroes and villians of the DC Universe?  Are they any different than the rest of us?

Does Aquaman flog his dolphin?  Does Scarface beat the dummy?  Does Lex Luthor make the bald guy puke?  Does the Music Meister play the skin flute?  Do the members of the Shadowpact spank their monkey?  Sure they do.  They all do.  Hell, I'll even bet that Silver Age Flash still polishes his helmet every now and again.

But what about Batman?  Bruce Wayne just goes and grabs himself a couple of Gothams loosest women when he gets the urges.  But what about when he's Batman?  Well, McDonald's seems to have answered that question for us with this new happy meal toy:

Sinestro Brand Moustache Wax and Other Superhero Endorsements

After years of ridicule, is Booster Gold's dream of being able to become a superhero millionaire simply by accepting endorsement deals now a reality?  Well no, but imagine if it was.

Superheroes reach celebrity status.  They endorse products we all know.  And Booster Gold looks like a pioneer.  I don't even have a moustache, and I already want to buy some of the Sinestro Brand Stache Wax.

Action Comics #892 75th Anniversary Superman Flash Race Variant

This is the amazing Ivan Reis’ variant cover to ACTION COMICS #892.  It's also the latest in a series of special variant covers done in celebration of DC Comics 75th Anniversary.  The cover celebrates the long tradition of races between Superman and Flash.  The first occured in Superman #199 published in 1967.

How the Superman - Flash Races First Started

According to issue #199, the Secretary-General of the United Nations came up with the idea, and approached Superman and the Flash with the idea of a benefit race. Money raised from sweepstakes would fund aid programs for underdeveloped nations.  Superman and Flash completed the race with a clear tie, ensuring that everyone was a winner.

Superman went on to race Barry Allen several more times, and also held races with Wally West and even Jay Garrick.  All three of those men who wore the Flash costume at one point or another would beat Superman at least once in a footrace.  Superman, who was able to force a couple of ties, has never outright won a race with a Flash.

What the the JLA Looks like on the iPhone vs. Android

Gfest found this post from Jase at about:blank that is damn funny.  Notice anything missing in the iPhone/iPad photo.

He's been gone for 30 years after saving the the universe and the brought back to help save humanity once again, only to be killed again by Steve Jobs.  Poor Barry.

The Flash Weighs in on the Abortion Issue

Don't ever say that your friends aren't willing to tackle the tough issues facing our world.  Today, we are proud to make our first public statement on the hotly debated abortion issue.

Clearly, there really are long downtimes while working in a comic book shop.  Those downtimes sometimes lead to questionable decisions.

British Teen Changes Name to Captain Fantastic

A 19-year-old kid in England has officially changed his name to "Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined."

The British teenager -- originally named George Garratt -- said his new name, which is thought to be the world's longest, has so outraged his grandmother that she is no longer speaking to him, The Telegraph reported.

The teen said he used an online service to officially change his name for a mere $20 fee.

The teenager formerly known as George said he wanted a superhero themed name.  Hopefully he did a Google search beforehand, because most references to Captain Fantastic relate to Gay Idol Elton John.

But Is He the Fastest Man Alive in Bed?

This is a funny cartoon of the Flash getting some real superhero action.  I wonder which Flash that is though?  Gfest's guess is that its Barry Allen.  The old man is probably just excited to be back from the dead and having sex again.

Gfest was going to guess Jay Garrick, but we assume that Jay practices safe sex and always wears a helmet in bed.

Strip Poker With the Justice League

The Justice League of America plays a friendly game of strip poker.  I like how WONDER WOMAN seems to be going the extra mile to make sure everyone at the table gets a real nice look at her boobs.

Steve Jobs Just Seriously Bitch Slapped Adobe Flash

In an open letter posted to the company's website, Apple CEO Steve Jobs finally explains why he has refused to let Adobe's popular Flash videos run on iPhones and iPads.

The letter, titled "Thoughts on Flash," gives six reasons why the company has specifically prevented Flash from running on iPhones, iPods and iPads, reasons that run the gamut from philosophical issues about the nature of closed and open platforms to simple complaints about performance and the frequency of crashes.

Superhero Tees that are Super Cool

We here at Gfest love our superhero t-shirts.  It's kind of an addiction, and for the record we were wearing them well before Sheldon on "Big Bang Theory" made them popular.  So we are always on the look out for cool new t-shirts with a unique superhero theme.

We were very excited to stumble across GlennzTees during one of our web-shirting days.  Glennz's got some of the coolest t-shirt designs we have seen in a long, long time.

If for some reason you're not into the whole comic book/superhero genre (give us time and we'll convert you), GlennzTees has cool shirts for anyone's frame of mind.
