Bartman Begins
Alexander G otherwise known as itchandscratchy on deviantART created this Batman Begins/Simpsons parody piece that is fantastic. He explains his inspiration below:
The Scarecrow's real name is Dr. Crane wich is also the name of Kelsey Grammer's character from Fraiser who also voices Sideshow Bob. Which explains the reason why I drew him as that villian. The Joker likes to laugh at people's pain, same does Nelson and are the bad guys Bart and Batman has known the longest. Lisa and Poison Ivy both want to prevent pollution and preserve plant life, but isn't able to do so successfully. Ivy does it in a criminal way and Lisa ends up causing a fuzz or annoying people.Gfest loves Bartman Begins. For more great artwork by Alexander G at deviantART.

Most Tragic Comic Book Death Since Superman and Captain America
In the 2007 The Simpsons movie, the Comic Book Guy said, "I've spent my entire life doing nothing but collecting comic books... and now there's only time to say... LIFE WELL SPENT!" Greater words have never been spoken!
Well it's 2010 and according to Bongo Comics' August solicitations, "The Simpsons" portly supporting cast member Comic Book Guy will meet his maker in the pages of "Comic Book Guy: The Comic Book" #2 with a funeral eulogized by none other than Stan "The Man" Lee.
As our friends at ComicsAlliance said, "Given that the death will take place in a Bongo comic rather than say, 'The Simpsons on FOX, makes it's quite likely that Springfield's favorite purveyor of sequential art will be reborn by the issue's end. But who knows? Maybe Comic Book Guy truly will have the, "Worst. Funeral. Ever."
Gfest prays for his Resurrection, perhaps as the next White Lantern.

The Simpsons Ke$ha Tik-Tok Opening
Last night Matt Groening and the Simpsons crew replaced their traditional opening sequence with a rendition of Tik-Tok by the ever, under-talented Ke$ha.
This is only the third or fourth time the show has deviated from it's normal title sequence.
The song sucks (so does the artist) but the Simpson's make it rock! Watch the opening sequence below.

Luke Skywalker and the Joker Team-up to Make Movie
Is Luke Skywalker himself—Mark Hamill—getting ready to direct a movie based on his own
darkly satiric crime comic book?
That's
the suggestion on The
Wrap, which caught up with Hamill at a panel at Los Angeles Comedy Shorts
Festival recently.
Hamill, who directed the 2004
documentary "Comic Book: The Movie" and has done considerable voice over work (including an acclaimed turn as the Joker in "Batman: The Animated Series"), told the audience at the Downtown Independent Theater
he was ready to go on a project that he'd been trying to get off the ground for
some time.
