DC Entertainment to Offer DVD Collection of Original Animated Shorts

Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Home Video have expanded the realm of superhero storytelling beyond the popular DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies with the introduction of the DC Showcase, a series of animated shorts featuring characters from the celebrated DC Comics vault. On November 9, 2010, Warner Home Video will distribute the DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection, the first quartet of animated adventures featuring the never-before-seen Superman/Shazam! The Return of Black Adam, as a Special Edition Blu-Ray™ for $29.99 (SRP) and single disc DVD for $19.98 (SRP).
DC Showcase animated shorts initially appeared as special bonus content on the 2010 slate of DC Universe Animated Original Movies. The 10- to 12-minute films include The Spectre, Jonah Hex and Green Arrow. All three titles will be presented in extended formats along with the first-ever release of Superman/Shazam! First Look at the Jonah Hex Short Animated Film

MTV has provided the first look at the Jonah Hex animated short.  While you would think it would be impossible for it to be worse than Megan Fox's Jonah Hex, this preview clip doesn't inspire much hope.

The clip is just a little over one minute long, and the first half entails nothing more than Jonah Hex riding a horse and not speaking a word.  Seriously.

Bruce Timm's DC Animation Department is including the Jonah Hex Short in with the Batman: Under the Red Hood Movie.  That movie looks awesome, and we were already buying that, so at least the Jonah short won't cost us any additional money.  But it doesn't look at this point like the Jonah Hex short will come close to matching the first short animated film of The Spectre.

Toy Story & Jonah Hex Mashup = Woody Hex

Kenny Keil created this wonderfully funny Toy Story and Jonah Hex mashup entitled, "Woody Hex."  Lot-so Huggin Bear would be in for an ass kickin if he messed with Woody Hex. We could use a Barbie and Megan Fox prostitute mashup too.

Megan Fox Side Boob Only Good Thing to Come Out of Jonah Hex Movie

Based on the early reviews and the horrible opening weekend for the "Jonah Hex" movie, this picture of Megan Fox's boobs at the movie's premiere might be the only enjoyable thing about the movie.

Jonah Hex, was a complete failure, rustling up a paltry estimated $5.1 million at 2,825 locations.  The film reportedly cost $50 million to make, which means its going to lose a LOT of money at the end of the day.

Hex was the weakest start for a DC Comics adaptation since Steel in 1997, and was much lower than the $9.4 million of the last DC bust, The Losers.

The Western action movie was an attempt at counter-programming Toy Story 3 but couldn't muster much niche support let alone broader interest with its feeble presentation: not serious and dramatic enough for Western buffs and too obscure for most fan boys. It had one of the worst openings on record for a Western, let alone a comic book movie.

But to finish on a high note, Megan Fox has really nice side boob.  So skip the theatres, and pre-order it on DVD today.

Brokeback Mountain - Jonah Hex Mashup

We haven't seen Jonah Hex yet, but gfest can guarentee you that we will.  With Megan Fox playing a prostitute in the movie we are also expecting a whole lot of sex appeal.  The Artist know as Eddie must have thought the same thing, although not about Megan Fox.

DC's Animated 'Jonah Hex' Sneak Peak

We know. We know.  It's not right. Gfest feels bad that we can drool over an animated Megan Fox, but the toon does look sexy in this screen shot from the second DC Showcase animated short, "Jonah Hex," which will appear as a bonus feature on the Special Edition Blu-Ray and 2-Disc Special Edition DVD release of "Batman: Under the Red Hood."

The short is rated PG-13.  In the DC Showcase story, the tough-as-nails bounty hunter Jonah Hex always gets his man - until someone else gets to him first - in this case a murderous madam who wants to steal more than just her bounty from Jonah Hex.  "Batman: Under the Red Hood," the next entry in the popular ongoing series of DC UNIVERSE Animated Original PG-13 Movies, arrives July 27, 2010 from Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation. The full-length film will be distributed by Warner Home Video.  Images courtesy of cbr.com

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns: Frank Miller’s seminal graphic novel.

The Crisis on Infinite Earths: the issue where Supergirl died.

The Death of Superman: one of the biggest events in DC history.

Justice League #1: Guy Gardner replaced with Jonah Hex.

Sexy Megan Fox with an Axe in Jonah Hex Movie Picture

New stills have emerged from the upcoming comic-book adaptation of Jonah Hex, featuring Fox in the role of prostitute Leila, who serves as the love interest of the titular scarred bounty hunter.

Megan Fox dressed in a skimpy outfit, parading around as a prostitute, holding an axe would make no difference to Gfest.  We'll take our chances.

SDCC 2010 Saloon Leila (Megan Fox) ‘Jonah Hex’ Exclusive

As if Gfest needed another reason to attend 2010 SDCC or another reason to LOVE Megan Fox.

Tonner reveals its San Diego Comic Con International show exclusive, Leila from Warner Bros. Entertainment’s upcoming feature film, Jonah Hex.  An authorized likeness of Leila (as portrayed by Megan Fox), “Saloon Leila” is 16″ tall and is limited to 200 pieces.  Saloon Leila is $149.99 and can be purchased in Tonner booth 4148.

New Megan Fox Prostitute Trailer with Jonah Hex

Finally after months of waiting, Warner Bros has decided to release the first trailer for Jonah Hex. The film stars Josh Brolin as the comic book hero, who carries a big gun and an even bigger grudge. The trailer will make its theatrical debut in front of this week’s A Nightmare on Elm Street but if you can’t wait another day you can view it right now…

Jonah Hex is based on the DC Comics property about a disfigured gunman who travels through the Old West kicking ass and taking names later. Brolin plays the title character, while Megan Fox stars as his love interest who also happens to be a prostitute. John Malkovich plays the film’s main villain, an older gentleman named Quentin Turnbull who has a serious vendetta against Hex and will stop at nothing to see him dead. Gfest

Gfest Megan Fox Wet Dream of the Day

Suddenly "Jonah Hex" is the Gfest must see movie of the year.  "Transformers" and "Jennifer's Body" were our must see movies last year. We here at Gfest are seeing a pattern.
