Mike Mitchell's "NES Boy" Artwork is Nintendoreffic
We've featured artist Mike Mitchell numerous times on gblog. His artwork is beautiful, very creative and usually pretty damn funny. His most recent piece of art is entitled, "1985" (or as it it has also been called "NES Boy") is no exception.
Mike claims on his website, "that this particular piece of art is a quasi self portrait of my formative years."
I think this picture speaks volumes to million so of us out there that spent our youth just like Mike. Gfest loves it!

Best Selling Book in the Mushroom Kingdom - Koopa Sutra
Who every now and then doesn't need a little spice in the bedroom? Princess Peach & Mario. Toad & Toadette. Daisy & Luigi. Yoshi & Birdo. You can bet that they even grow tired of suing mushrooms or fire flowers as props. Well now thanks to the best selling book, Koopa Sutra the Mushroom Kingdom is like living in Sodom and Gomorrah. I bet Bowser is pissed.

Gfest's friends over at maneggs have come up with a very funny cartoon that puts a real life spin on the way Mario just flaunts his ability to run through the Mushroom World killing any damn thing that gets in his way.
It's about time somebody locked this guy up.

Awesome Video of Mario Going Through a School Building
Check out this amazing clip of Mario making his way through a Japanese school building. I thought those kids studied all day long, and were kicking the rest of the world's butt in terms of education acheivments. But how much time did it take to make this thing?

The Secret Story Behind What Really Happened in Super Mario Revealed
Gfest loves funny cartoons. Especially cartoons featuring our favorite Nintendo Characters. We stumbled upon this cartoon by Steve Napierski at duelinganalogos. Once we read it and stopped laughing we knew we had to share with our Gfest friends.
All those hours spent playing Super Mario Brothers would been much shorter and a heel of a lot easier if we could have just said, "Too F'n Bad, Princess"

Nintendo's Toad has Anger Management Issues
Nintendo's Super Mario Bros.
is the most popular game of all-time and as everyone who has ever played the game knows -- Mario battles his way through numerous castles, only to discover that the Princess is not there.
Instead, we find Toad who simply tells us "Thank You Mario! But our Princess is in another castle!"
But is that all he said to us? No, it's not. When you zoom in on the 8-bit version on Toad you can see that he's also been delivering us another message all these years, in the form of the double middle finger.
I knew there was something about that guy I didn't like.
