Nolan Casting a Female Villain and Love Interest for 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Deadline, who first  broke the news that Tom Hardy has joined the cast of The Dark Knight Rises, now is reporting another interesting casting rumor.
"Chris Nolan is lining up actresses he'll meet for two female lead roles in The Dark Knight Rises, the third installment of the Batfranchise which Warner Bros has dated release on July 20, 2012. I'm told one of the roles is a love interest for Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne, and the other is a villain. The actresses are: Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley."
Does the mean the Catwoman and Talia Al Ghul rumours could possibly be true since Nolan is indeed looking for a female villain?  On the other hand, there are of plenty of love interests for Bruce Wayne that they could pick from the comic books.

My gripe with this rumor is centered around Blake Lively.  There is no way in hell Warner Brothers is going to allow Blake Lively (aka Carol Ferris) the star of the fist of three Green Lantern movies to play another character in Christopher Nolan's, The Dark Knight Rises. Thus, I have a hard time believing the validity of this claim.  We'll just have to wait and see.

The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

Christopher Nolan in Search for New Female Lead in Batman 3

Hardly earth shattering or breaking new but production of Christopher Nolan's third Batman feature film gathers steam with closed meetings with young fresh faced starlets.

From the quite reliable Comic Book Movie and MovieHole comes this nugget of information.
Several young (“Late 20′s, early 30′s”) ladies are meeting with the Caped Crusader’s resuscitator this week to talk about the new film. Interestingly enough, quite a few of the ladies don’t actually know what role they’re being asked to read for/meet Nolan about (yep, security is tighter on this thing than the department store Jonathan Switcher worked at in “Mannequin” – Okay, maybe a bit tighter than that) they’ve just accepted an offer to “meet” with the filmmaker. Presumably, they’ll leave the meeting knowing quite a bit more.
I’ve the names of a couple of the young ladies meeting with Nolan, but I’ve checked in with them and they’ve kindly asked me not to name them – at least until they’re convinced they haven’t got the job (fair enough, don’t want to jinx it for anyone).  What I can say is that Nolan is open to casting a fresh face as the female lead; he’s not necessarily bringing in the big guns.
Again, this "revelation" is anything but breaking news, but just adds to the speculation of what character he is auditioning young ladies for at the moment.

Could it be Julie Madison, Vicki Vale, Selina Kyle, Talia Al Ghul, Barbara Gordon?  What female character from the Batman Universe would you like to see on the big screen

Marion Cotillard Offered Role as Talia or Selina in BATMAN 3

According to the some what unscrupulous site Perez Hilton, Marion Cotillard has been offered a role in Batman 3. Apparently his sources are unsure of whether the role was Catwoman or Talia Al Ghul, regardless she reportedly turned down the offer as of now as she’s unsure whether the planned shooting start date of the next Batman movie will clash with other projects she’s either interested in or already committed to, despite the fact that she’s reportedly keen to work with Nolan again.

Who knows if this true.  It's Perez Hilton for Christ's sake, but nonetheless, I think she would be a good Talia or Selina.  She's sexy and sultry with just the right amount of confidence to pull it off.  And, it passes the Nolan smell test since she was in INCEPTION, but we will have to wait and see if it becomes a reality.

The third and final installment in the Nolan Batman franchise starts filming next spring for July 2012 release date.

First Look at Caveman Batman - The Return of Bruce Wayne

By now you know that Gfest loves the real Batman not the artificial, whiny cretin that presently occupies the cape and cowl.

Final Crisis #6 was a bitter sweet moment for Gfest.  Batman took down the most powerful New God, Darkseid but was immediately thumped by the Omega Sanctions and presumed dead.

Your friends at Gfest (and the real Robin, Tim Drake), being well versed in all things Kirby, knew that Batman was not dead but forced to live a never ending series different lives with no knowledge of his prior being.

Next week it all changes (AT LAST) and we finally get the real Batman, Bruce Wayne back into the DC Universe.  It starts with Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne, the mini-series from writer Grant Morrison.

Promising to bring Bruce Wayne back to the DCU, the mini-series traces what happened to the Dark Knight after he was presumed dead, but apparently traveled through time.

And it all starts with Caveman Batman.

Since each issue of The Return of Bruce Wayne will be drawn by a different artist, the first look at the character's journey will be drawn by Chris Sprouse, who is establishing Issue #1's setting in prehistoric times.

Mr. Freeze and Talia Confirmed for Arkham Aslyum 2

Thank God for small favors.  Gfest loves Talia Al Ghul.  She's gorgeous and oozes sex despite being a jealous homicidal maniac.  Oh, ya we like Freeze too.

Voice actor Maurice LaMarche, who previously voiced Brain in Animaniacs and Egon Spengler in The Real Ghostbusters cartoon, confirmed on the GeekCast Radio podcast he'll be providing the voice for Mr. Freeze in the upcoming sequel.

"Videogames is hard work, I'll say that," LaMarche said. "I've only done a handful, and I'm very lucky right now, I'm about to go in and do Mr. Freeze for Arkham Asylum 2."

LaMarche couldn't go into much detail about the character, but did say Mr. Freeze will be very, very angry.
