Superman's Anti-Smoking PSA

Is this Truth, Justice and the American Way?
 
In December 1980, Superman and the Health Education Council launched an anti-smoking campaign aimed at children aged from seven to eleven. The campaign pitted the cartoon super-hero Superman against a newly-invented super-villian, Nick O'Teen.

Gfest finds it hard to believe anyone could be swayed by this commercial givne that it also included perhaps the worst Superman voice acting in the history of mankind. 

Yet by the time the campaign ended in 1982, over 800,000 children had requested material produced by the Health Education Council. The venture produced a positive response from schools, and evaluations demonstrated a significant impact on children themselves.




 

Batgirl Has Fallen on Hard Times Without Bruce Wayne

Batgirl may be looking a little sloppy in this picture, and she's picked up a nasty little habit with the cigarettes, but who is gfest to judge how members of the Batman family deal with the loss of Bruce Wayne.

What we can say, is that a slightly damaged Batgirl is pretty damn sexy.

If Cartoon Characters Went to College

College Humor posted these very funny cartoons entitled, "If Cartoon Characters when to College."

Gfest laughed out-loud after looking at these hilarious and creative cartoons.

Who would have thought that Pikachu could pounds beers like that?  Timmy Turner's Fairy God Parents really came through for him. Spongebob looks like he may need about dozen crabby patties.  And, the PowerPuff Girls are looking pretty freakin sweet now that they have grown up.  Kudos Professor.
