Battle of the Lantern Corps Pumpkins - Which is Cooler?
Today we present to you an epic battle between two incredibly cool sets of Halloween pumpkins carved in the shape of the symbols of the various lantern corps.
The first was done by Grace Belancik (a.k.a. DeviantArt user RocketGirluvsUkitake) who was creative enough to branch out beyond pumpkins and instead find either colored pumpkins or other foods that were the appropriate color for each corps.
The second set was sent to us by Jillian Sarro who made them with her boyfriend. (by the way dude, nice catch. Hold on to her for that Wonder Woman costume alone). They found away to have each of their lantern corps pumpkins lit up inside with the appropriate color for each corps. Can you spot the Black Lantern Corps pumpkin? Didn't think so.
The brain trust behind gfest is officially split between which set is the coolest. So we decided to settle the bet by throwing it open to you. Tell us in the comment section which one you think is cooler.

New Green Lantern Action Figures Revealed Including Dex-Starr & Movie Version of Parallax
DCUC's Green Lantern Classics wave 2 will not only include lots and lots of comic toys, but also the film version of Parallax (which for now is just a silhouette, but in the future we will get a peak of fear as it will be portrayed in the movie).
Joining movie Parallax are Nautkelloi and Medphyll (one body with swappable heads), Red Lanterns Skallox and Night Lik, Sodam Yat, Star Sapphire, Varix and the best part of all is a VERY special 3-pack of mini-characters B'dg, Dex-Starr (may favorite Red Lantern) and Despotellis.
Interestingly, Night Lik is a brand new character created by toy makers the Four Horsemen. Geoff Johns named the new lantern, who will be appearing in an issue of the GL comic following its first appearance on toy shelves.
Parallax will be fully-revealed in the January issue of one of my favorite publications, ToyFare magazine.

Will We See Blake Lively As Star Sapphire in Green Lantern Movie?
Blake Lively chatted with MTV and was asked about playing Carol Ferris in Green Lantern following her role in The Town.
"To get to do a role like this that is so dark and so different and so broken and then to go be in a superhero movie opposite such amazing actors and an incredible director, and not just be the damsel in distress, be a fighter pilot, be his boss at the company, to play women with strengths are the characters I'm most attracted to," Lively said.
Carol ultimately becomes the villain Star Sapphire in the comics, but will there be any signs of that in the first film? "No, not yet," Lively added. "Well, I mean, there are always winks and homages to certain things in the comics for the fans, but I don't think you know yet how evil she turns."
The Martin Campbell-directed Green Lantern is scheduled to hit theaters on June 17.

The Sexiest Star Sapphire Costume Ever Created
Gfest is willing to declare this to be the best Star Sapphire
costume ever created, in the history of mankind. It's also the sexiest. I'm not even sure Carol Ferris looked this good wearing the costume.
When Geoff Johns was designing the costume for the Star Sapphires leading up to Blackest Night
, he had to be hoping that someday he would run into hundreds of hot chicks wearing these while running around at Comic Con. Geoff Johns once again proves his genious.

Will Green Lantern's Blake Lively Be Appearing in Playboy?

Praise Lord Darkseid, gfest sure hopes this is true. The Enquirer says Blake is asking a whopping $2.5 million to bare all for the mag.
The 22-year-old started to consider posing nude after making the movie The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. She sort of had a creepy nude scene in that.
OK, we've never even heard of that movie, but let's all take a gfest break and go buy that movie HERE.

“Playboy had already been calling her. She figures a Playboy spread now will really give her career some heat,” a source said, noting that her family is divided.
