Anchorman Director Close to Making The Boys into a Movie

Collider is reporting that director Adam McKay of Anchorman fame is in serious talks with Sony Pictures to bring Garth Ennis' comic book series The Boys to the big screen.

McKay is a die-hard comic book fan and that he’s been looking to tackle a movie in the comic book genre. The Boys is an aggressive first comic book movie to tackle, but all the power to him. 

Gfest LOVES The Boys, and have always thought it was too hard edged to ever see the big screen.  Now let's just wait and see how watered down the movie version will be. 

Somehow we doubt that scenes like the one to the left will make it through Sony's executives.
