Mazel Tov! - Jewish People Cleared to Buy the iPad

The Jewish People of the World may now safely use their iPad.

For two weeks, Israeli officials banned the iPad from entering Israel, fearing the device would interfere with other wireless devices. They also feared the iPad's potential to disrupt military frequencies. Having said that, no other European country had banned the iPad.

However, after testing with Apple and independent labs, the iPad was found able to be safe.

"The scrutiny conducted by the Ministry technical team vis-a-vis Apple's team, International laboratory and European counterparts confirmed that the device which could be operated in various standards will be operated in Israel in accordance to the local standards," according to a statement this weekend by Israel Minister of Communications, Moshe Kachlon.
