David Finch's Brightest Day #6 Variant Cover

Hot Dog, this thing is beautiful.  David Finch has really outdone himself in this J'onn J'onnz cover for Brightest Day #6.  For gfest's money, the J'onn story has been the most interesting of the Brightest Day stories so far, so we're hopeful this cover means we'll be getting much more J'onn in this issue, and much less Firestorm. 

Did Heroclix Just Give Us a Brightest Day Spoiler?

Heroclix.com has just announced a Brightest Day follow up set to the just released Blackest Night Starter Pack.  (as a sidenote, gfest owns the Blackest Night set and we love it).  Click on the Heroclix on the side for a large image.

Coming in October of this year, the set will be a similar seven piece starter set. The most interesting figure of the set though is J'onn J'onnz, who is shown as being half black lantern.  

For those reading Brightest Day, its obvious that something is amiss with the heroes and villians who returned from the dead.  But are they REALLY returned from the dead?  Seems like you can't technically be alive if you're half Black Lantern. 

Geoff Johns Teases Upcomming Events in Brightest Day

In a letter to fans posted on DC Comics website, Geoff Johns dropped a few clues about the near future of Brightest Day.  He also talked a LOT about the new Young Justice animated series, but let's focus on the news we actually care about involving Brightest Day.  In the coming weeks we will:

• Meet a new alien killer who will become J’onn J’onzz’s greatest enemy
• See Hawkman and Hawkgirl discover a great secret about their past
• Meet the mysterious and deadly Siren
• Meet the new Aqualad who will also appear on the Young Justice animated series

On the face of things, the one that really excites us is J'onn's new enemy.  We have been enjoying that storyline.  The rest of the announcements we share as a public service, not because they excite us at all.  Are we alone?  Did these teasers excite anyone else?
