When Geoff Johns was designing the costume for the Star Sapphires leading up to Blackest Night
, he had to be hoping that someday he would run into hundreds of hot chicks wearing these while running around at Comic Con. Geoff Johns once again proves his genious.

In real life, the costume looks ridiculous and I doubt the person wearing it would feel comfortable going out in public dressed as such...except maybe on Halloween. That said, she's really Hawt!

ReplyDeleteI agree that she's hot but I hope she's careful about wearing that in public, I don't think even Jennifer Lopez or Miley Cyrus could wear that without wardrobe malfunctions.

(and to all those sticks-in-the-mud saying "no person would go out in public wearing that" - well, no kidding. this outfit isn't made to go grocery shopping in. but thanks for pointing out the obvious. sheesh.)
Also, if you look, she wasn't trusting the costume to stay in place - she's got at least 3 strings holding it together that aren't in the artwork (looks like it may be "invisible" fishing line, I'm mostly seeing shadows from it). Two in an X pattern across her belly, and one at the bottom of the breasts.

She looks gorgeous and the costume is extremely well-crated and well-made here - having said that, the costume design from the comics is just too 'porn model' for my tastes... especially near the pelvic/'private parts' area. And really, do we need THAT much cleavage/boob showing, DC? Anyway, I'm critiquing the costume design, not the model or hard work she (or someone) put into making this costume, clearly with great effort & care. I just wish the costume looked less ridiculous/tawdry.
